Retail Therapy
After a particularly long and trying day at work yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find long awaited packages I had ordered from Nordstrom and Rebecca Taylor waiting for me when I arrived home...

Wu Me
I love nearly every collection designer Jason Wu releases each season and one of my favorite classic style/beauty icons, Olivia Chantecaille, is known to be a huge fan of his clothing:
A few of my favorite pieces from Jason Wu's spring 2013 collection:Recently I discovered that he designed a less expensive collection for Nordstrom called Miss Wu. While still bit pricey, if you're looking for a fashion splurge, you may want to consider an item from this line. These are a few favorites:

{Neon ruffle-trim cardigan $49.95}
{Sheer Ruffle Overlay Blouse $49.99}
{Faux Fur Coat $59.99}

MNG by Mango
A few weeks ago I posted about a high end designer (Giambattista Valli) creating a line for Macy's. Well, now Mango (endorsed by Olivia Palermo!) has created a line for JcPenney. Surprised? I was too, and although I don't frequent this retailer, I had to check out what the MNG line consists of. I'm pleasantly surprised. Before we look at the MNG items, lets look at some designer Mango pieces:

Okay now for some favorites from the MNG by Mango line at JcPenney...
{MNG by Mango Lace Dress with Ruffled Shoulders...Obsessed and will have to purchase!!}
{MNG by Mango Tank top with Lace Overlay...this would look great under the next item...}
{MNG by Mango Tuxedo Jacket Satin Trim...a feminine menswear twist if paired with lacy tank above}
{MNG by Mango Sheath Dress, shirred metallic... j'adore this piece}
There are MANY more items at jcp.com. The prices are reasonable and will give you a high fashion look, for a bit less!

Nouveau Navy
Navy is the new black this fall and I have to admit I'm loving it! So is the Duchess of Cambridge...
As is Minka Kelly in Dior to die for...
A few of my favorites, some a bit more attainable...
{Ports 1961...loving this styled just the way it is}
{J.Crew..gorgeous blouse but would look better with black leather skinnies and leopard pumps}
{Zara..navy suit with black lapels-this outfit needs a few sparkly vintage necklaces, non?}

Olivia's Picks: Piperlime
Piperlime, a subsidiary of Gap, Inc., introduced three new guest editors, one of which is Olivia Palermo...super yay! As you know, I love her style and was excited to shop through her picks on the website. Check it out here.

Celebrity boutiques: Olivia Palermo & more
Early this spring I learned about a great website called Boutiques.com It features favorite fashion items from many of the top fashionistas as well as items inspired by their style (and often at a more reasonable price point). I have been loving Olivia P's boutique, but here are some of the other celebrities and designers featured:
{Kim Kardashian}
{Emmy Rossum}
| {Marchesa} {Oscar de la Renta} |
I hope you'll stop by this website. It's a lot of fun and you can even create your own boutique!
Have a lovely weekend, Alicia
