Retail Therapy
After a particularly long and trying day at work yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find long awaited packages I had ordered from Nordstrom and Rebecca Taylor waiting for me when I arrived home...

Duchess Style My Way
I love the classic style of the Duchess of Cambridge. A friend of mine gave me this dress a while back and last night, I finally had an occassion to wear it: my cousin's rehearsal dinner. The style and color immediately reminded me of something Kate Middleton would wear. My dress is a morph in style/color between Kate's famous blue engagement dress and her St Patrick's Day 2012 outfit.

How To: Painted Rhinestone Necklace
Most painted rhinestone necklaces I have been lusting after are quite pricey. A while back, I purchased a clear rhinestone necklace at a thrift shop and was never quite happy with how murky the rhinestones were. My solution was to turn it into a piece that I love by painting it with bright colors while saving a nice sum of money in the process!
A beautiful design, not so beautiful stones
You need: a few bottles of inexpensive nail polish (mine were on sale for 49 cents each!), a toothpick to correct mistakes along with nail polish remover, and plain white paper to place under the necklace
Start with one color at a time and dab the nailpolish onto the stone. It's okay to cover the prongs...
By using one color at a time, it's easier to decide on your desired color placement
Rotate the paper as you work, not the necklace. Gradually, the necklace begins to come alive!

She Wears It Well: Vintage Pretty
Remember the Belle Maison Et Moi necklace giveaway a few weeks ago? Well, the winner and fellow blogger Pearl over at Vintage Pretty is wearing it in her latest post. She styled it perfectly (don't you just love her outfit?) and made the necklace look so very lovely....
{The super beautiful Pearl in her super cute outfit}
{The necklace close up, a little blurry but very exciting for me to see one of my items in 'action' for lack of a better word!}
Thanks for letting me have a moment to show and tell ;o)

Fashion Story
Have not had much time for shopping lately, so I am virtually shopping and creating collages of outfits I would love to own, right down to the accessories. The catch is I own the jewelry, well, technically I made the jewelry but it's up for grabs through my Etsy shop and not for me to keep. I know many of you have your own shops/businesses and will agree with me when I tell you that it's hard to part with these treasures we love so much but we know in our hearts that there are others who will love them just as much, if not more, than we do.
Let us head into fashion dreamland for a quick trip and imagine ourselves strolling down the streets of oh let's say...Paris, Milan, New York City, or maybe even your hometown because we owe it to ourselves to look magnifique!

Sometimes virtual shopping is just as much fun as the real thing. And lately, online shopping has proved to be my preference, mostly because I adore the excitement of waiting for the perfect package to arrive at the front door!

Tea for Three
Tomorrow brings a small but special afternoon tea complete with a little work on a puzzle, perhaps a game of cards and great company, bien sur!
Tea sandwiches are my contribution to the afternoon tea and although I already plan to make chicken salad and cucumber tea sandwiches, I have been looking for other tasty ideas. Amidst all of this are some beautiful pictures for inspiration...

Closet Cleanout
I finally completed spring closet cleaning...a little late? Yes, considering autumn is in full swing here, but I know it's spring out there for some of my blog friends! After filling multiple bags for donation with shoes, clothing, decor, and handbags, I have plenty of space for some new items that I've had my mind and eyes on for quite some time...
{Banana Republic Mad Men Lace Shell}
{Topshop Diamante Pinspot Dress}
{ASOS Pleated Coat with fold over collar}
And two dreamy items I am still saving my pennies for...
{Christian Louboutin Simple Heel pumps}
