Fall i-n-g in Love

Last weekend was a bachelorette bridal shower bonanza for my cousin who will be married in October.  Naturally, this will be a rustic, fall themed wedding with a palette of navy blue, burnt oranges, and yellows with accents of fall touches.  Searching for some last minute ideas to send the bride-to-be led me to these beautiful items on Etsy, of course!

Modern Gardening

Admittedly, I don't have the greenest thumb.  The delicate balance of too much love (lots of water and sunlight!) and too little love (limited water and sunlight) is tough for me to strike and sometimes what I see as a lot of love (lots of water) turns out to be the demise of my plants.  What is a creative solution?  Waterstone Succulents by Michelle Weddle on Etsy!  A recent discovery and a fabulous one to boot!  I've just custom ordered 3 of my very own 'plants' which I plan to use in various ways (as paperweights, grouped together on our coffee table, on a window sill, etc) the possibilities are endless.  When they arrive, I will be sure to feature them incorporated into our everyday decor, but for now, this is what I am eagerly awaiting to receive:

Michelle of Waterstone Succulents has been a pleasure to work with and I plan to order more succulents (see the champagne planter variety in her Etsy store!) once these arrive and are settled in. Be sure to check back to see these little gems in their new home.

Hopefully you'll join me in my quest for modern gardening, but in the meantime, do you have any tips for improving my green thumb?

Have a lovely day,
Alicia xo
