Remember the settee in our newly revamped guest bedroom in
this post? Well, it didn't always look this pretty. We bought this armchair settee, which is one piece from a typical Victorian parlour set, at a yard sale last summer. It had potential, so let me share the before and after pictures with you to show how this work in progress became a refreshing accent piece in our home:

I have bought several antique chairs with a plan to repaint, an to reupholster, and I always end up selling them in a yard sale several years later as they were when I purchased them. One of these days, I actually tackle this sort of project.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's so tempting to buy antique pieces with good bones, but you're right it is time consuming to revamp them. I have a piece or two that are half finished and need my attention. All in good time :o)
